Adolphe Yvon (1817-1893)



Adolphe Yvon was a famous French painter, well known for his paintings depicting the Napoleon wars.
Yvons career began in Paris, 1841 and studied under the artis Paul Delaroche at the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts.  During the year 1846 , Yvon departed for Russia on a six month trip, this trip would be the greatest influence on a subsequent  paintings yet to come.
Adolphe Yvon became the only offical artiast accompaning the French forces during the Crinean War in 1856.
